Derek 2002

Not sure what hair product I was using at the time this photo was taken but the colored t-shirt under the white button shirt was so money around this time. Trying to get confirmation about the event during which this picture was taken, supposedly its the infamous Atlantic City trip, and Paul does look like he just won $600 in Pai Gow but supposedly Mike (not Coach) wasn't there. I'm pretty sure I hooked up with a drunk chick this night, that was Derek...2002.

Technically this wouldn't be a 'Jew Sandwich' this would be a German/Irish Agnostic Sandwich with two pieces of Jewish bread

Yes! Another Mets Blog!

It was only a little while ago that My friend Scott was claiming the Mets were underrepresented in the blogosphere and had no equivalent to the Red Sox Boston Dirt Dogs Site. So Mets fans'Paul and Scott were writing similar blogs with Mets recaps for the rest of us to scroll past. Then Scott took his Mets posts off his blog and set up Beltran's Mole. Not to be outdone Paul has now set up The Happy Recap. Never one to succumb to the demands of outsiders. Paul will defiantly continue to post Mets recaps on Paul's Poop.

I'm starting to think this is one of JusTON's Photoshop creations to make us think Paul and Scott AREN'T the same person

Styles Make Fights

My good friend Mike Friedlander has joined the blogging family with his boxing-devoted Styles Make Fights. "Styles Make Fights" is Mike's often used theory that a lesser puncher can beat a better puncher by making him fight his style thus making him look better in the ring fighting said style to the judges. I hope that's not what Michael Warrick's manager told him because it looks like in his case the fight made the style.

Hugging it Out: "Aquamom"

(SPOILER SPACE: If you don’t want any of last night’s episode of ‘Entourage’ spoiled for you do not scroll past the picture of James Woods)

Banged Heather Graham

The third season premiere of Entourage was a formulaic, perfunctory, yet entertaining half hour of television. Life is good for Vincent Chase (when isn’t it?) ‘Aquaman’ is set to premiere and he’s buying clothes and jewelry by the boatload and banging jewelry store girls and banging every skank in Hollywood. But for his premiere date he needs to bring someone that will have impact as this premiere will be seen by millions. Instead of picking a girl and stuck being perceived as involved with her, he invites his mother who is afraid of flying. At first she balks but when Eric invites his and Turtle’s moms to convince her to go.

Ari is in business for himself without an elevator and an office cleaning staff on strike. He manages to keep at least two high profile clients. Chase and man’s man James Woods who is brilliant in his cameo appearance. Ari’s major problem is his agency startup costs are putting him and his wife in serious debt. It’s not hard to figure out Ari’s struggles are going to be a main if not the only plotline to this season.

I really wish HBO would give Entourage an extra half hour and go deeper than the usual Vincent gets laid, Ari goes nuts, Eric, Drama and Turtle question their roles plots. If season 3 is the same as seasons 1 and 2 in this respect, people are going to turn on this show quickly. I’m almost considering not doing a recap for this show because it’s too short and too predictable. For you, I will continue at least through next week.

I stayed up to watch the two shows HBO debuted after Entourage and here are my quick thoughts.

“Lucky Louie”- very funny for the first five minutes, after that I was wondering what I was doing watching it. The show should be retitled “A Sitcom with Dick and Fart Jokes and Cursing, Because We Can”. I don’t expect it to have a long run, so I won’t go into the plot details.

“Dane Cook’s Tourgasm”- I watched this because I wonder if something is wrong with me that I seem to be the one person in America that doesn’t think Dane Cook is funny. It might even be illegal to say “Dane Cook’s not funny” over the internet. I put him in the category with Jack Black and Robin Williams as people who aren’t funny but “act weird well”. I don’t enjoy these people as much as some. The show is a reality drama with Cook and three comics (Bobby Kelly, Jay Davis, and Paul Guttman) on a tour bus across the country doing an act. Immediately Davis and Kelly get into a spat over of all things, porn. I found this entirely missable as well.
