SNL
It is usual practice for me to forego going out socially during the winter except for special occasions so that I can save money to go out more often during the spring and summer when the weather is better and women can dress hotter.
So instead of looking for the next Mrs. Lynch (and hoping she's drunk) I stayed in and watched an episode of Saturday Night Live. This episode was the first new episode of any series that I know of since the end to the three month long Writer's Strike. Some have said that SNL's writers have been on strike for ten years now with regular skits and returning characters that wouldn't have made the notoriously grating 12:30-1:00 slot in the early 90's the show's heyday to our generation. Still they attempt political humor.
This is the most accurate depiction of the media's relationship with Barack Obama I've seen yet. It also exposes a major flaw in Obama's candidacy, that there is no one currently in place to accurately play him on 'SNL' if I was a tall half Black comedian, Lorne Michaels would have my head shot already...
Mike Huckabee made a cameo appearance in an attempt to increase his likability and profile for future Presidential campaigns by poking fun at his own lame duck candidacy this year...
Of course there may have been one other reason for me to stay in and watch 'SNL' perhaps my desire to come back in a second life as the microphone in this clip...
