A Michael Scott Joint: "The Convention"
(SPOILER ALERT: If you don’t want any of last night’s episode of The Office spoiled for you DO NOT scroll past the picture of Angela Martin)
Last night's episode of The Office was nowhere near the level of last week's episode. In fact it probably belonged in the First Season. Michael and Dwight went to the Mid-Atlantic Mid-Market Paper Supplies Convention in Philadelphia. The major story was Michael's jealousy of Jim's new boss Josh and Jim's apparent friendship with him. When Michael threw a party in his hotel room and only Jim showed up. Michael asked him if he left because he wasn't as cool of a boss as Josh. This prompted Jim to reveal the real reason he left Scranton...his failed attempt to win Pam's love. Pam, meanwhile went on a double date with a cartoonist from the Scranton Times and Kelly and Ryan. Kelly feeding Ryan french fries (I mean freedom fries) was the funniest part of this episode. While Pam was underwhelmed by the date, Toby is interested in an office romance with her but can't bring himself to say so. Jim tried to pull one last prank on Dwight in the hotel but Angela's "surprise" for Dwight made Jim think he got a hooker for the night and left all that alone. Michael's new ring tone is "My Humps" by Black-Eyed Peas and Jerome Bettis (nicknamed "The Bus" because "he doesn't like to fly") made a cameo appearance on an otherwise forgettable episode.
Next week, Angela tries to convince Dwight to overthrow Michael.
